Subject: Compliance with Proposition 65 Warning Requirements In January 2020, Californias Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) adopted its proposed amendments to Prop 65 regulations (California's Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986). Subsections (b), (c), (f), and (i) of section 25600.2 were amended, providing further clarification on the responsibilities of parties in the supply chain for providing product exposure warnings to consumers. These amendments take effect on April 1, 2020. Proposition 65 prohibits businesses from knowing and intentionally exposing Californians to a chemical known to the state to cause cancer or reproductive toxicity without first providing a clear and reasonable warning. The California Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment ("OEHHA") has updated regulations governing these warnings. OEHHA publishes a list of more than 900 chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm. Many of Liberty Steel & Wire's products may contain some of these chemicals, and thus those products may result in an exposure to one or more listed chemicals. Accordingly, we are updating the SDS for our products to include the following warning, in compliance with the new regulations: This warning applies to the following products: Steel Billets, Steel Rods, Steel Rebar, and Steel Wire Products.
