The D:S ratio, or distance to spot ratio, is used to state the distance that the test unit should be from the target in order to measure a 1 foot diameter section. Minimum/maximum function will hold either min or max reading on the display. Auto off function saves battery life and a low battery indicator eliminates inaccurate readings due to a low battery.
